Welcome, weary souls of Ex’ala.

The tales in these annals are not for the faint of heart. If you are searching for something dark and gritty, a story that will settle like dirt between your teeth, we have just the tales for you. Heroes who face triumph and tragedy, tortured heroes, disillusioned heroes, reluctant heroes, heroes-turned villains, villains-turned-heroes, all making difficult decisions—sometimes right and sometimes wrong—in a morally grey world.  Enter at your peril.

But if you’re looking for something light and easy, best not travel down this path.  Feel free to email us a genre or type of story you might be interested in, and we’ll send you our best recommendations.

Subscribe to our newsletter, The Archive, for your first free story, “Koruzan’s Tribute.” And if you’re lucky, as The Archivist plumbs the Hall of Records for new and interesting tales—ones she likely didn’t have The Chronicler’s permission to make public—perhaps we will throw in another freebie or two along the way.

Forgive our magickal dust as we figure out the right components to build our site. We do hope you’ll keep checking in on us.

Now Available on Laterpress!

The Chronicler and The Archivist are pleased to announce the release of our debut novella: Blood for Koruzan. We have published the novella on Laterpress. Can’t get enough of Yechvan’s story? Join us as we release Children of Koruzan starting September 2025.

If you prefer to listen, email us from the same email you used to purchase the novella and we’ll share a link to the audiobook, narrated by The Chronicler himself.

Rather devour the story all at once? The preorder for the physical copies, releasing in Spring 2026, will be available soon.
